Fall For Veggies – Gardening Time!

Vegetable BedFall is the best time of year in the south to grow most of the tastiest veggies – or at least in the Cyber Geeks book. Did you know that once you pull those tomatoes out of your garden, all is not lost? you can still grow some delicious crops throughout the winter!

Join the Cyber Geek herself to get down and dirty learning about how to prepare and plant your vegetable garden for fall. This will be a two part class consisting of both a classroom session and a hands on gardening demonstration. Everyone that attends will leave with at least ONE free veggie plant. There will be little quizzes throughout for additional prizes. If you’ve been to one of her classes, you know you never leave empty headed (sometimes empty minded, but that doesn’t count!).

You can bring your notebooks, pens and spitballs and expect to learn about:

  • Veggies that will wow you in winter
  • What to do with the veggies you pulled out from summer
  • Soil amendments, the good, the bad, and the smelly
  • Fertilization tactics both old and new
  • Tasty treats from the garden you might not have expected
  • Irrigation tips, drips and a slip!
